[BBL S4] Aesnop’s Power Rankings, Week Two

Aesnops Fabled Power Rankings: Week 2, Parity Boogaloo

Week 2 saw the beginning of defined tiers start to show.  Tier 1 imo currently has 7 teams, possibly 9 depending how legit some of these tier 1.5 teams are. Those teams will all be listed in this weeks power rankings.  Tier 2 is where things start to get interesting. Are the Monsters as bad as their 0-2 record? Or have they succumbed to an early tough schedule? If they’re bad what should we take away from the Indians victory over them? Are the Orioles legit?  Or do they have a decent team that just happened to play two bad teams?

  1. Brewers. +39 Differential      2-0

The Brewers continue to take care of teams in calculating fashion.  This weeks victim was the Melonheads, who looked quite overmatched. It might not be until week 9 when they play the Orioles that Jibbo will even need his mouse.

2)   White Sox. +60 differential     2-0

In the land of ‘teams that were slightly scary at the start of the year, but now are terrifying’ we have the White White Sox.  46 runs is a lot of runs. Can confirm. Offense looks legit.

3)   Mariners.   +53 differential     2-0

The other team from that same land as the White Sox we have the Mariners.  We won’t know for sure if a +39 against the Monsters is actually good for awhile, but for now its worth moving up a spot.  Week 6 looms large for both the Mariners and the White Sox, with both meeting the Indians along the way.

4)   Pirates.     +15 differential     2-0

Drop a spot just because the offense hasn’t been as good as the Mariners and their SOS / differential is a bit worse.  Still a scary matchup for any team, those sleeping will be run over. The win vs the Indians may end up looking better in a few weeks.

5)   Red Sox.  +38 differential   1-1

Welcome back Chappe.

Just missed: Giants, Hornets, Indians,  Wombats, Orioles

MVP race:

  1. Naga
  2. Bags
  3. Whoever the Giants decide to give stats to
  4. Whoever the White Sox decide to give stats to
  5. That’s the list.
