Any details on your life outside of the BBL that you would like to share? I play a lot of disc golf. Currently pursuing a MS in biostatistics from university of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Undergrad was at Purdue in chemistry.
How long have you been playing Backyard Baseball? How did you get started with it? Years. Hadn’t played since like 05 though. Just loved baseball as a kid and found it.
What’s your preferred version of Backyard Baseball? 2001
What’s your favorite field? Parks Dept. I’m a traditional guy.
What’s your favorite team to play as? Red Sox
What’s your favorite real-life team? Red Sox
Who’s your favorite Backyard Kid? Achmed Khan
Who’s your favorite Pro Kid? Either Nomar or Jeff Bagwell
Who’s your favorite generic player (if you have one)? Julie Dunkel
How did you get into the BBL? I forget what crosspost led me to it, but I immediately saw a league post and contacted Yurya halfway through season 2.
Briefly explain your history in the BBL. See above. Pretty much ran the table and won the S2 title. Now I’m in the WS for Season 3. [Editor’s Note: Lost a tight five-game WS.]
What are your hopes and/or expectations for this season? I hope the new defensive AI boosts create parity. But for me, anything short of the LCS will be a slight letdown.
